Our Services

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services

At Positive Steps ABA, we provide compassionate, evidence-based behavior therapy designed to help children and families thrive. Our programs are built around the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) — a science-backed approach that helps individuals build meaningful skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and improve quality of life.

Early Intervention ABA Therapy

Our early intervention program supports children ages 18 months to 6 years in developing foundational communication, play, and social skills. Therapists work one-on-one to build skills through natural play, routines, and positive reinforcement.

Goals include:

  • Language and communication development
  • Functional play skills
  • Imitation and early learning readiness
  • Early socialization and joint attention
  • Toilet Training
  • Behavior Reduction

Center-Based ABA Therapy

At Positive Steps ABA, children receive structured therapy sessions in an engaging, supportive environment. Our center is designed to encourage interaction, independence, and learning through daily routines.

Services include:

  • Individualized treatment plans supervised by a BCBA
  • Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
  • Group activities promoting peer socialization
  • Parent observation and feedback sessions

Parent & Caregiver Training

We believe parents are an essential part of a child’s success. Our BCBAs provide individualized parent coaching sessions to help families implement strategies at home, manage behavior challenges, and support long-term progress.

Training covers:

  • Positive reinforcement techniques
  • Behavior prevention and replacement strategies
  • Communication skill building
  • Data tracking and progress monitoring

Social Skills Groups

We offer small-group sessions that teach children how to connect, share, and play with peers. Each group is led by trained therapists and tailored to age and skill level.

Children practice:

  • Turn-taking and sharing
  • Conversation and eye contact
  • Emotional regulation
  • Cooperative play and friendship skills

Our Process

We understand that beginning ABA therapy can feel overwhelming — our team is here to guide your family through every step with clarity, compassion, and professionalism.

1. Initial Contact

Our friendly onboarding coordinators will collect important information about your child, including developmental history, behavioral concerns, and therapy goals. This helps us determine whether Positive Steps ABA is the right fit to meet your child’s needs.

2. Insurance Verification

Once onboarding information is received, our billing team will verify your insurance benefits to confirm coverage details and obtain authorization for ABA services. We’ll walk you through the process and review any financial responsibilities before starting services.

3. Initial Assessment

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will conduct a comprehensive skills and behavior assessment to identify strengths, needs, and target goals for therapy. This may include direct observation, standardized tools, and family interviews.

4. Treatment Plan Development

Based on the assessment results, the BCBA will create an individualized treatment plan outlining therapy goals, intervention strategies,  therapy hours per week, and measurable outcomes. The plan is shared with parents for review and approval before therapy begins and submitted to insurance for authorization.

5. Ongoing Therapy & Monthly Parent Trainings

Your child will begin regular therapy sessions at Positive Steps ABA center with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) under the supervision of a BCBA. We also conduct monthly parent training sessions to ensure families are actively involved and empowered to support progress at home.
